“A happy family is but an earlier heaven.”

George Bernard Shaw

In these weeks we used questionaries’ and interviews with our friends and family we wanted to learn and understand the “flow” and atmosphere of their “family dinner”.

One of the most interesting things we’ve found is that our “smartphones” has a lot to offer to our conversation within the family and around the dinner table. Many times we think of it as a distraction or as a “anti-social” device. How many time you told your younger sister “look at me not at your phone?” or how many times you were told to “look up , and put the phone a side “ the nonstop “push notification” “group chatting” sms’s and other messages are making it harder and harder for us to Focus on the person who’s standing next to us. I our phones holds our entire cultural world: our music, videos and photos we’ve taken , web history.. basically our lives!! Almost everything you can imagine. Some of these things we would love to share with our love ones, What if we could share some of these things at our family dinner without making everyone “look down” wouldn’t it make us communicate better and get to know each other lives better ?

navigate the information that is in our phone to something we could display in a collective environment (such as family dinner) can contribute and help us connect better.

Many times in conversations we don’t know something or we want to know something, we immediately “google” it. – using our phones answers our question and help us learn more.
